Good Party

ENDORSEMENT: GOOD PARTY CERTIFIED CANDIDATE - I'm so pleased to announce that I have been endorsed by Good Party as one of their "certified candidates" and an article about me has been featured on their website (link in the comments). PLEASE take the time to read the article. They did a very good job describing who I am and why I'm running for Board of Education.

If you aren't familiar with Good Party, as I wasn't until recently, they are NOT a political party. They are an open-source project whose goal is to empower independent candidates to run effective campaigns outside of the two-party system.

Good Party Certified Candidates are:

- INDEPENDENT- committed to the interests of the people above themselves and partisan politics

- PEOPLE-POWERED - focused on solving the problems facing their community not serving themselves and special interests. committed to running grass-roots campaigns that depend on being connected to the people they will be serving

- ANTI-CORRUPTION - open, accountable, and transparent about their positions and progress on issues, which means staying connected to, informed by, and responsive to their constituents

- CIVIL - committed to running a civil campaign focused on their ability to serve not mudslinging with opponents

Those are all commitments I am proud to represent in this campaign! As they wrote in the article,

"For Larson, running for the Wayne County Board of Education is not about politics — it's about people. She is intentionally running as an unaffiliated candidate, distancing herself from partisan politics to focus on what matters most: the well-being of students and the success of the county’s education system.

'It's really a team of moms that are behind me. For us, it is not political. It is personal. We are doing this because our kids are in the system, we want it to be better, and we want to do what we can to help,' Larson said."
